Each year, when the weather starts to cool down and the leaves begin to turn, historic downtown Athens, TN hosts the annual Pumpkin Town Festival. Overnight, the city transforms from a bustling stretch of local shops and restaurants to a expanse of entertainment and culture. From the variety of local and regional vendors arrayed around the square to the Market Park Pavilion Stage hosting local bands and dancers to the many shows and activities ranging from a Native American Powwow, sideshow games, and tons of activities for the kids.
